Microneedling add-on
Microneedling with PRX8 in Austin
Surface refinement and dermal remodeling in the same session.

What it does
Layered renewal above and below the surface
PRX8 is a no-peel resurfacing compound applied in combination with microneedling to address the epidermis and dermis simultaneously.
Microneedling works below the surface, triggering structural collagen repair. PRX8 works at the surface, driving accelerated cell turnover and epidermal renewal without the peeling, downtime, or recovery of a standalone chemical peel.
PRX8 is a biorevitalization compound, a formulation of TCA, hydrogen peroxide, and kojic acid, that stimulates skin renewal at the epidermal level without producing visible exfoliation. It activates surface cell turnover and brightens tone while the microneedling beneath it drives collagen and elastin production deeper in the skin.
The effect is layered: improved texture and clarity at the surface, firmer and more structurally sound skin below it.
The combination produces results neither treatment reaches on its own.
Surface refinement
Supports accelerated cell turnover and epidermal renewal.
Dermal remodeling
Pairs with microneedling's collagen and elastin stimulation beneath the surface.
No-peel resurfacing
Brightens and renews without the visible peeling of a standalone chemical peel.
Who it's for
Who benefits most
PRX8 is recommended when the plan needs surface and structural correction at the same time.
Uneven tone
Useful when epidermal renewal and brightness are part of the goal.
Surface roughness
Supports smoother surface texture while microneedling handles deeper remodeling.
Dullness with firmness goals
A fit when clarity and collagen support both matter.
Efficient treatment sequencing
Can reduce the need to add a separate peel session when concurrent epidermal and dermal work makes sense.
What to expect
Standard microneedling recovery, earlier surface clarity
PRX8 does not produce visible peeling on its own.
When combined with microneedling, the overall recovery pattern follows the standard microneedling timeline: redness for 24 to 36 hours, with possible light flaking beginning on days 3 to 5.
Surface clarity and tone improvements often appear earlier than the structural changes from microneedling, typically visible within the first week as epidermal renewal completes. Dermal changes develop over weeks, as expected.
Aftercare follows the standard microneedling protocol. We'll confirm specifics with you based on your full session.
No visible peel
PRX8 does not produce visible peeling on its own.
24 to 36 hours
Redness follows the standard microneedling recovery pattern.
Days 3 to 5
Possible light flaking may begin because of the microneedling component.
First week and beyond
Surface clarity often appears within the first week; dermal changes develop over weeks.

Keep it gentle
Follow the microneedling aftercare protocol reviewed before and after treatment.
Expect possible light flaking
Let any flaking shed on its own timeline.
Protect renewed skin
Surface renewal can show earlier, so sun protection still matters.
Session-specific instructions
We'll confirm details based on the full treatment performed that day.
Day of treatment and the first 48 hours
Keep the routine minimal. Your skin does not need more stimulation right now.
Day of treatment
Leave PDRN serum on the skin. No washing. No makeup.
First 48 hours
Use a gentle, paraben-free cleanser morning and night. Use post-care serum once daily in the evening.
When flaking begins
Increase serum to morning and night at minimum. Add applications as needed.
Hydration note
Less moisture in the first 48 hours drives more thorough exfoliation. It's counterintuitive, but clients who back off heavy hydration early tend to see better tone and texture improvement.
What to avoid
The biggest rule is simple: do not interfere with the shed.
Picking or peeling flaking skin
Picking disrupts the repair cycle and creates scar risk. The skin will shed on its own timeline.
Washing too soon
Do not wash the day of treatment. Leave the serum on the skin.
Makeup day-of
No makeup on treatment day while the skin is freshly treated.
Heavy hydration in the first 48 hours
We will walk you through exactly how light to keep moisture early in the healing window.
Your healing timeline
Redness for 24 to 36 hours is normal and expected. If PDRN was used, this may be more pronounced. It reflects active cellular repair at the treatment site.
Flaking follows on days 3 to 5 and resolves through day 7. When flaking begins, increase your post-care serum to morning and night at minimum, with extra applications as needed.
We're reachable throughout your healing window. Normal healing has a recognizable pattern. We help you stay in it.
