Microneedling add-on
Microneedling with Exosomes in Austin
Your skin's repair response has a ceiling. Exosomes raise it.

What they do
A stronger regenerative signal
Exosomes are extracellular signaling molecules, the communication layer between cells that coordinates regenerative activity.
Applied during microneedling, exosomes amplify the skin's response to the treatment: more collagen stimulation, more fibroblast recruitment, and a more complete regenerative cascade than the controlled injury alone produces.
Microneedling creates the injury. Exosomes change how extensively the skin responds to it.
By delivering a concentrated signal to cells at the treatment site, exosomes increase collagen and elastin production beyond what the wound-healing cascade generates on its own. Fibroblast activity is amplified. The regenerative window, the weeks after treatment when structural remodeling is most active, is more productive.
The improvements in firmness, density, and texture that develop across a series are more pronounced and continue to build for longer.
Amplifies collagen stimulation
Increases collagen and elastin production beyond the wound-healing cascade alone.
Recruits fibroblasts
Supports more extensive regenerative activity during the active remodeling window.
Builds longer
Firmness, density, and texture improvements continue building across the series.
Who it's for
Who benefits most
Exosomes are reserved for clients where maximizing collagen response is the clinical priority.
Meaningful anti-aging goals
A fit when firmness, density, and structural change matter most.
Significant textural concerns
Used when a more complete regenerative cascade supports the plan.
High-value collagen response
Placed where the biology supports the investment.
Not for every stage
If the plan is surface refinement or early preventive work, another add-on may serve you better.
What to expect
Same recovery pattern, deeper remodeling
Recovery with exosomes follows the same pattern as standard microneedling.
Expect redness for 24 to 36 hours, flaking beginning around days 3 to 5, and full resolution through the end of the week.
The difference is in what develops over the following weeks. Collagen remodeling with exosomes tends to be more extensive. Structural improvements, including firmness, density, and tone, are more evident and longer-lasting across the series.
Aftercare is the same as standard microneedling. We'll review the full protocol with you before and after your session.
24 to 36 hours
Redness follows the standard microneedling pattern.
Days 3 to 5
Flaking begins around this window.
Through week one
Recovery fully resolves through the end of the week.
Following weeks
Firmness, density, tone, and texture changes continue developing across the series.
Aftercare
Standard microneedling protocol
Aftercare is the same as standard microneedling. Keep the routine clean, simple, and hands-off.
Leave treatment serums on
Do not wash the day of treatment unless we instruct otherwise.
Use gentle care
Follow the standard microneedling aftercare protocol we review before and after your session.
Do not pick
Let flaking shed on its own timeline.
Expect the longer arc
The major difference shows up in the weeks after treatment, not at 48 hours.
Day of treatment and the first 48 hours
Keep the routine minimal. Your skin does not need more stimulation right now.
Day of treatment
Leave PDRN serum on the skin. No washing. No makeup.
First 48 hours
Use a gentle, paraben-free cleanser morning and night. Use post-care serum once daily in the evening.
When flaking begins
Increase serum to morning and night at minimum. Add applications as needed.
Hydration note
Less moisture in the first 48 hours drives more thorough exfoliation. It's counterintuitive, but clients who back off heavy hydration early tend to see better tone and texture improvement.
What to avoid
The biggest rule is simple: do not interfere with the shed.
Picking or peeling flaking skin
Picking disrupts the repair cycle and creates scar risk. The skin will shed on its own timeline.
Washing too soon
Do not wash the day of treatment. Leave the serum on the skin.
Makeup day-of
No makeup on treatment day while the skin is freshly treated.
Heavy hydration in the first 48 hours
We will walk you through exactly how light to keep moisture early in the healing window.
Your healing timeline
Redness for 24 to 36 hours is normal and expected. If PDRN was used, this may be more pronounced. It reflects active cellular repair at the treatment site.
Flaking follows on days 3 to 5 and resolves through day 7. When flaking begins, increase your post-care serum to morning and night at minimum, with extra applications as needed.
We're reachable throughout your healing window. Normal healing has a recognizable pattern. We help you stay in it.
